© Mark Buckley-Sharp May-01
The Revan Pavilion stands in the fourth court of Topkapı Sarayı, and was built by Sultan Mahmud IV around 1640 to
celebrate one of his many military campaigns. The walls are tiled, and the cupboard doors are inlaid with
mother of pearl. The soft
furnishing were renewed recently.
